long sole sound w/ Leonie Bluett

  • Lutheran Hall 24-28 R811 Dublin, Dublin Ireland (map)

Following on from the success of the ‘Strung Series’ and in continuation of our 2015 programme, ICC are delighted to present ‘long sole sound w/ Léonie Bluett’. The concert will premiere 7 new works composed especially for clarinetist Leonie Bluett by ICC members, first workshopped in June 2015. The programme features a diverse range of styles in a mixture of acoustic and electronic material.
Leonie Bluett is a multi-award winning clarinetist, including the Buffet Crampon Clarinet Prize 2014 and Flax Trust Bursary 2013, to name but a few! Bluett has performed with Camerata Ireland, Wide Open Opera & Britten-Pears Orchestra among others, and is a regular contemporary music performer both solo and with Kirkos Ensemble. Leonie is an impressive composer in her own right and has had pieces performed in the CMC and Kaleidoscope Night. Leonie graduated with a Masters in performance in July 2014 from the Royal Academy of Music. The concert will take place Thursday 10th September at 8pm in the beautifully resonant Lutheran Hall, 24 Adelaide Rd, Dublin 2.
